The manufacturing might of the U.S. has been the engine for American prosperity for at least 100 years. From steel to cars, from textiles to finished goods, from appliances to electronics, American-made products have supplied our own population and been exported around the world.
We need only to look back at the years during World War II to see what American manufacturing has been able to accomplish. Hitler’s Axis powers threatened to overrun all of Europe and England before America entered the war. But when the U.S. joined the Allied effort and American manufacturing ramped up,  our enemies were quite simply overwhelmed by this nation’s industrial strength.
