One Last Chance
Mark 10:46-52
Imagine being so unimportant you don’t even have a name! That’s the condition of the central figure in the story Mark tells about Jesus as he leaves Jericho heading for Jerusalem and his execution. In Mark’s gospel this is the last miracle before Jesus’ Passion.
We don’t know how much time Jesus spent in Jericho. He and his followers come to the city and leave again in the first verse. We can assume Jesus spent enough time there for people to learn his name and his mission.
